Where is the Mansfield Historical Society located?

The Mansfield Historical Society is located at:

102 N. Main Street
Mansfield, Texas 76063

We are located inside of the Mansfield Historical Museum and Heritage Center at the corner of Broad Street and Main Street in Downtown Mansfield.

We are open Tuesday – Saturday from 10:00AM – 4:00PM and closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Hint: if the Mansfield Museum and Heritage Center is open, then so are we.

We work very closely with the Mansfield Museum and Heritage Center to bring you interesting and unique exhibits regarding Mansfield and its’ residents.  All upcoming exhibit information can be found here.

Individuals who have an active membership to the Mansfield Historical Society are welcome to peruse anything in our archives for a book report, family history, research, and the like.  As long as the Mansfield Historical Museum and Heritage Center is open, we will be glad to help you.  Please keep in mind that materials belong to the Mansfield Historical Society – and cannot leave the building.

Yes!  We are happy to accept online donations – and humbly thank you for your generosity.  Click here to view our online donation form. Donations are graciously accepted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Absolutely!  We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which means your donation is fully tax-deductible.  We will provide a receipt upon request.  If you have any specific tax-related questions, please consult your tax advisor.

Our walking tours can be completed by any one of any age.  However, we suggest you check the weather before beginning a walk and please dress accordingly.  There is no charge to participate in a walking tour.

Our walking tours take approximately 45 minutes – 1 hour to complete.  They are low impact activities with minimal hills and steps.  If you have a specific concern regarding a medical condition, we encourage you to speak to your doctor before beginning a walking tour.

Though exceedingly rare, the Mansfield Historical Society is not responsible for any accidents or injuries that occur on a walking tour.  All participants are expected to obey all traffic signals and cross streets via crosswalks.

We sure do!  Whether you’re into research and organizing or being out and about in the community, we can always use your help.  We have availability during the week as well as the weekend.  Please fill out our volunteer form to get started.

It depends on what the item is.

The Mansfield Historical Society happily accepts items that are printed on paper (think photographs, magazine/newspaper clippings, wedding announcements, recipes, and the like).

The Museum is owned and operated by the City of Mansfield, and they manage all donations that are NOT printed on paper (i.e. physical items).  If you have a physical item you would consider donating, please contact the Museum directly and they will be happy to help you and learn more about your piece.

We certainly do!  From ornaments to cookbooks and history books, we’ve got the perfect gift idea for that special someone (even if it’s yourself)!  Click here to view our online store.

Ah, we understand. Please contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you.
