Farr Best Theater Ornament

The Farr Best Theatre opened on October 10, 1917 and was operated by the Farr family for 58 years.  It was sold in 1975 and from then until the present, it has had three owners. It has been the Bijou Theatre, St. John Lutheran Church and the Main Street Theatre, which currently produces live theatre. On September 13, 1996, the building was once again renamed the Farr Best Theatre and declared a historic site. The theatre proudly stands in the heart of downtown Mansfield, Texas and is a tribute to its founder, M. M. Farr.
