Foster Cookbook

Malvina Louisa Foster’s cookbook dates from 1860 – 1869. The cookbook includes some of Malvina’s personal recipes and recipes for medical purposes, bereavement, preserving, and other miscellaneous entries. Malvina was part of the original Texas 300. Her son, John Foster, married Julian Feild’s daughter Etta. The cookbook gives an insight into early Texas Hearth Cooking.
